Are you thinking about the Ozempic/Wegovy type? If so, they do appear to have weight loss impact, but there can be problems. One of which is the cost to the UK taxpayer - these are now the most profitable drugs in the world.

It seems to be well-known that these semaglutides are also causing a lot of muscle loss, which can be a real problem - google "Ozempic face" for instances of facial muscles wasting.
I think your options are either to go back to your GP or obtain them privately. No idea of how much you'd pay, or of the quality.
