Spoke to a dietitian friend who was telling me about the Zig-Zagging Method to start weight loss off again. She maintains that the same amount every day will slow the weight loss down as your body becomes comfortable with this.

It involves knowing how many calories you eat per week and eating more or less of them on any set day, whilst still adding up to the overall weekly total.

There is a calculator on this site which would help if you were to consider this,

I think my family found this out by 'accident' as a cousin, who cannot cook, has the same food every day and her weight never varies by an ounce and hasn’t moved for years. It has been a bit of a joke in the family but clearly there is actually something in this.

Some of us have problems with maintaining our weight or even losing too much weight when trying to keep good BG levels; but it is very hard to keep your weight steady by eating the same things every day especially when you love variety and CAN cook and love to cook! :(

Perhaps this is the middle way and there is a way of keeping the amounts of carbs, fat etc in the food the same whilst still enjoying variety. There could be hope! :D
