Hello All,

Hope we are well.

I need some advice on going weight loss, as mine seems to have stalled now.

I am 5” 7 and currently weigh between 64kgs in a morning and 67kg’s at night.

My carb level is around 120 grams on days I train and about 90 to 100grams on non-training days.

I just to weigh about 75kg’s about 1 year ago.

I know my BMI is fine, but I am still carrying fat around my tummy, which I want to go ect.

Any ideas.

Cheers

As a suggestion you could work with a personal trainer at your local gym to find ways of improving your tummy, failing that the only thing I can think of off the top of my head is sit-ups.

One thing I read over and over is people reaching a plateau and how to kick start weight loss again. Something that seems to help is to increase your water levels. For some reason flooding your body and flushing away any nasties, seems to make a difference.

Toning up is a different matter, and like Noblehead said, the gym and a personal trainer or sit ups may be your answer. I would prefer a tight belt

I seriously doubt if you are overweight at approx 65 kilos. Perhaps that's why your weight loss has stalled. You are at right weight. They do say that "spot reducing" fats isn't possible, but toning might be. hte suggestion o speaking to a pwersonal trainer makes sense. Otherwise try shapewear.

Muscle weighes more than fat, so if you have been toning/building muscle, your weight loss can slow or stop for a while.
Fat on your tummy is the hardest to get rid of, like said above, get the use of a personal trainer, they are not expensive, they can be found in council run sports centres.

I've found pilates a good for strengthening and toning abs.
Much better if you have an instructor but I don't (nearest is about 80km away ) so I use videos.
There are lots of Pilates videos youtube
This is just one using basic Pilates exercises probably about a medium level workout, you can find them easier and harder.

You could try exercises designed to strengthen your core abdominal muscles. These work all the muscles around the pelvic girdle area, and the front ones that you use when you pull your tummy in. My physiotherapist gave me some which I can't possibly describe here, it would take too long.

They involve pelvic floor muscles - I don't even know if men have pelvic floor muscles in the same way us girls do   .

If you Google for core abdominal muscles, you might find something.
