Whilst some are looking for means to shed weight yours truly is looking for how to gain weight. Went through some screening last week precisely April 24. At 79 verdict of underweight was returned. BMI 17.9 (Height 1.68m Weight 50.5 kg) Not a big frame person all along hovering around 57kg or thereabout. What next?

Hi tayelola - Before making suggestions, could you tell us how long you've beeen diagnosed and how you are managing your T2? Do you take any medications?

Sorry - I should have asked. Have you always been slim, or did you lose weight recently? If you lost weight recently is your Doctor comfortable there is no unwelcome reason for that?

If all is well, I'd suggest you start simply increasing your portions just a bit, but if that doesn't work, then add a bit more protein, then if that still doesn't work, up the fats.

Whilst many find losing weight tricky, some find gaining it just as hard. Good luck with it all.
