Hi
A friend of mine was in a similar situation that i am now, newly diagnosed diabetic (almost 3 years now tho) and wanting to go on the pump. They asked her to take weightloss tablets for 2 weeks before she could go on the pump and she lost 4 stone in 2 weeks. To me this does not sound healthy. She is now on the pump and loving life but im thinking they could ask me to do the same. Has anyone ever heard this before? Its not something ive heard in any other case. Im really keen to go on the pump as it would make life so much easier and loosing 4 stone in 2 weeks sounds like a dream come true but it sounds strange to me that a doctor would suggest this.
