Hi don't know if this has happened to anyone else? Earlier this evening after eating a very small amount of a cheese and ham omelette and having a coffee I began to feel really hot, started sweating heavily. Then mouth began to water a lot and began dry heaving. I felt as if I was going to vomit but just excess saliva produced. Lasted about 5 mins and felt fine after. Was very strange and has never happened before. Was 2 hours ago and feel ok now. Am type 2 on Metformin. Any suggestions???
This is weird... But yes, I too have experienced this a couple of times before. And I take Metformin.
I have absolutely no idea what it is, but I had the same dry heaving and my mouth filling with loads of saliva, but no actual vomiting. I'd actually forgotten it had happened until I read your post. Since nothing else occurred after a few minutes I just wrote it off and forgot about it. But it has happened two or three times over through past few years.
Selfish people, arseholes who think they know it all, ignoramuses, chavs and people with no manners. People who play music on the bus or train full blast on their phones.
I get this regularly. Type 1:insulin dependant. It happens when I eat and have, say, missed breakfast. It's a rubbish feeling, especially at work, but people are used to it now. It's one of those things.
I'm also a regular sufferer, type 1 though. I go very red and people know to not speak to me for a couple minutes. It does pass quite quickly and I've never really thought about it much
Thanks everyone for your replies. Has not happened since i am happy to say. I did wonder if it may have been the cheese as i dont usually eat cheese and was quite a lot in the omelette.
Has made me feel better knowing i am not the only one to have experienced it.
Will def not worry too much should it happen again.
