Hi folks.
so about me......about 5 years ago lost half my pancreas due to a pesky tumour. on the grand scheme of things have had no real complications. And as it currently stands I am not diagnosed as diabetic.
so what brings me here.....It started last week, one night was uncontrollable shaking teeth chattering. had been on a diet so had no sweets or chocolate for a few days anyway had a biscuit and oddly enough the shaking stopped although didn't sleep all night as was in a puddle of sweat. Following day was sick after eating a bowl of Cinnamon Grahams ( not my usual breakfast of choice) and as the day went on I started to feel worse along with being itchy esp on feet and hands.
That night was the same with the puddle of sweat. anyway saw doc on Fri who is gonna do urine and blood test.
Sat morning I took my BG which was 8.7 - upon waking. ate no breakfast as not hungry. For lunch had half a sandwich, 4 hours after that BG was 13. ooh also had the most gorgeous red flushed face.
today Sunday woke up again in sweat and not long took BG which was 8.2.
I've no appetite. weeing for England. and feeling very tired and generally bleur !
so yeah um thanks for having me in your group and sorry for the waffle !!

Good morning. I'm not medically qualified but it does sound as if your blood glucose has gone a bit wacky.

I'll tag @daisy1 who will come along and give you some introductory info

Hi @joow06 and welcome to the forum. Seems you have been having a rough time. You will find a lot of good advice on support on here.

Well from the way you have described your symptoms and what you have been experiencing the last couple of days I would say it is pretty typical of a virus if so that would put your blood glucose up. Your BG levels are not to bad I would say not high enough to cause the problems you have but what you would expect if you do have a bug. Just dose yourself with paracetamol...if you can.. and see how you go. Hope you feel better soon
