a month since my diagnosis as T2 at last the metformin cramps have eased off with the slow release version, I have been away from the farm for a couple of weeks and eating badly, according to the meter my bg has never been above 7.3 ,2 hours after eating, I have been doing a lot of walking in the sun.
I've spent a lot of time on this site looking at all the possibilities but still cant work out why when even eating bad stuff my meter says 7.2 max.
My dread is when I go back home next week to my normal and what I consider to be a good diet and work load will my reading go up, and what do I tell the nurse ??

There is so much iinformation on this site to take in ,such a shame that there isnt a one size fits all solution :(. I thiink there will have to be a lot of experementation to be done.
At least my "unhealthy" diet hasent resulted in any weight gain, or loss.,so far.

The walking will have helped a lot. What do you call "eating badly", have you some examples?
fried foods such as fish/chicken in batter ,chips ,crepes, cakes and pastries,Ice cream , lots of fruit , apart from the fruit stuff I never have at home, very active at home . Have been trying to see how this has affected my bg readings on the meter.
