What are these tests?

FOOTBALL. MY husband is a sports fanatic and watches everything. Most i can put up with just not football.
I've been browsing through some topics and come across people talking about test results. What are these other test? Something measured in %. Is there different test for type 1 than 2? Am i supposed to be doing other test? This is so confusing :crazy:
 
There's a regular blood glucose test which is done on a home test meter and gives you your current blood glucose reading at that moment that the test is done. There is also a test called the HbA1c test which gives you a result in % and that tells you your average blood glucose reading over the past approximately 3 months. This test is usually done at your diabetes clinic every few months. Both tests are helpful to type 1 and type 2 diabetics.
