What are your concerns? Personally, I don't eat anything after supper. I'm on a low carb diet, so don't feel hungry. If I were to have a snack it would be low carb. Maybe some nuts, like almonds or cashews. To be honest I am having trouble imagining eating something before bed.

You said before bed: "What foods are ok to eat before bed ?" That's different than "for supper", unless you go to bed right after supper.

But I think I answered your question anyway: low carb high fat diet will pretty much remove hunger between meals.

So for supper, some kind of protein (beef, chicken, fish) and some non-starchy vegetable (broccoli, asparagus, cauliflower, brussel sprouts) and maybe cheese for dessert. No rice, potatoes, pasta or bread.

I cut out almost all carbs from my diet and it has helped me lose weight, get my blood glucose to non-diabetic levels, lowered my blood pressure, lowered my plasma triglycerides, and improved my cholesterol levels. And I feel great - not tired or hungry nearly as much as I used to be.

That's great, I'm feeling much better than when diagnosed as well simply cutting out sugar. I need to learn about carbs ...well done .

Yes, that's the way I started out after diagnosis, then slowly learned to reduce all carbs. I really reduced carbs after I got a blood glucose meter and saw what the carbs were doing to my blood glucose levels.

HI, i found i was getting hungry late at night so i either hold off having my sugar free jelly and double cream as long as possible, or i have a couple of squares of 85% dark chocolate with a lemon green tea (melts in the mouth) at night, that seems to do the trick for me, i am also low carbing and both these foods are great for bg

What foods are ok to eat before bed ?

I found this was the worst time to eat for me, it was better simply to avoid eating late at night.
I don't particularly low carb, if I did succumb it was usually simply a nibble of anything from the fridge, or an oat biscuit though, just to remind my stomach what food was, rather than that I particularly needed to eat, until I broke the habit entirely.

There's probably a physiological reason why eating just before bed is bad but I do anyway sometimes. Last night I was looking round for low carbs with some fat and ended up with tomatoes with olive oil and olives, cucumber, feta cheese and celery with mayo, and I left the plate on a radiator for 10 minutes to warm it all up a bit (olive oil spits in the microwave). I slept ok.

In my case I'm not doing any work while I'm asleep, so I don't need the energy, and if I'm asleep I won't notice feeling hungry, so it's a good time not to eat for me, as all it'll do is get stored by my body.
If I eat in the day, it'll get burnt off by my muscles, rather than stored, and either way I still start with the same breakfast, and the eat the same during the day, so to me it's better to miss it off if I can.

I don't usually have anything after my main meal at around 5pm except a few nuts during the evening

Ive found if i have some fat around 9, going to bed around 10, i can get up easier in the morning. I go for some cheese, or fat bombs, celery with either peanut butter or cheese spread down the middle.

I usually have 2 pieces of toast before bed, but only if I'm hungry. Never force yourself to eat before bed if you really don't fancy anything.

I have a lactofree decaff and two sqs dark chocolate or half an apple and a sliver of cheese in bed. I try to have done enough exercise during day for these to be free foods as it were.
