I've eaten an hour and a half ago but I overdid the novorapid before eating or there might be some stacking going on. Now I'm slowly getting close to being hypo: I've been hovering around 4,2 since starting dinner (combination of watching the graph on my libre and double checking with fingerprick). As bs is slowly getting lower I already ate some fast acting carbs but I really think I should have some longer acting, like a slice of bread as well. Alas, dinner was very yummy, so I'm not hungry at all. So what long acting carbs do you take when you're not hungry?

@Antje77 . I've always found malt loaf to be a good source of carbs, tastes good and you don't need a great amount. I usually use it before a gym workout if I'm a little low. Problem at the moment is I doubt you've got any lying around.
A banana and some peanut butter?
Full fat yogurt and some fruit?

Slice of toast?

Thanks, therower! No malt loaf around here, never even heard of it. Fruit I have, but none of your other suggestions. Yoghurt doesn't have a lot of carbs in it, does it? Or is the idea that the fat from the yoghurt will make the sugar in the fruit act more slowly? If so, do you think a piece of chocolate would work? Seems like the same trick but without the vitamins, an I do have chocolate :)

I'd have chocolate if no glucose tabs in. Not a long lasting carb so nutty chocolate would last you longer. Is your chocolate nutty?

suspected malt loaf wouldn't be big in the Netherlands . In theory you could have insulin on board for a good few hours. The chocolate will cause an initial spike but may well diminish before your insulin does. It's looking like it may have to be bread or cereal.
The fat in the yogurt and peanut butter would both slow down the affect of the fruit in your system, giving you a longer supply to cover the duration of your insulin .
Keep an eye on your levels throughout the night and stay safe.

Thanks! I usually have some bread. I thought toast was bread, but toasted. But I'm not at all sure, it is an English thing I guess. Please enlighten me.
Yes toast is bread. I often find that toast is more appealing than bread.

Come on. Saturday night, you cannot just have one slice of toast!!!!!!
The toaster has to be full, it's against the law to activate a toaster half empty:):):):)
Also it's against the law to an absolute disgrace not to put cheese on the toast especially on a Saturday night.:):):)

Cheese after the toaster or things get messy...
