soaps on telly and people talking about the characters as if they were real.
T1 husband suffering from 2 Charcot feet AND stage 5 kidney disease has just been denied renewal of his blue badge.
Does anyone know what criteria local authorities use?
the doctors say he should have one.

It probably differs in each authority. I have had no problem renewing mine, suffering from CKD stage 3 and diabetic foot problems (inc ulcers/amputated toes).
To be honest, the criteria here does seem to be "If you're old, you're eligible - no questions asked". It was a struggle to get the first one, but renewals are easier.

Contact the department dealing with the blue badge and ask for a written explanation for their refusal.
