Hi. I'm new to this and I have only recently been diagnosed. I'm a type 2 and I'm finding it hard to find people my age who are a T2. I was just wondering what you think is a low blood sugar? Because I get very dizzy and feel ill alot of the time. I'm also looking for a diabetic friend to talk to. I'm 14 so 14-17 would be cool. T2 or T1 are okay. Thank you.

Hi welcome, I'm way outside your age range but I'm sure some others will be along soon, hypos or low is under 4.0, you should aim for between 4 and 7, you may also feel unwell if your blood sugars are high (above 12), have you been given any medication?

Hi thank you for your reply. My blood sugars are mostly, well actually they're everywhere, I am not on medication but I have a hospital appointment in an week which I think I'll be getting my medication. They talked about putting me onto something called metaphormin or something like that. But I'm always dizzy no matter what my sugars... Do you mind if I message you as I'm confused and it would be nice and helpful if I could talk to someone who knows about it. Thank you

14 seems really young to have type 2 do you know if your doctor ordered a GAD test? This is used to diagnose people from type 1. On your question anything below 4 is considered low but sometimes the meter can read a bit higher than that I've had 4.6 and felt low before.
