What do you do when not well?

Hello there
I was only diagnosed recently and have had a mammoth crash course in managing my diabetes through LC diet and exercise. All has been going remarkably well.
However during the night on Sat/Sun morning I had sickness and diaorrhea pretty bad (think it was a revenge by seafood out on Sat evening). Good news was by the time I was up and about all was well and I ate my new normal diet. Then in the early hours of this morning the diarrhea returned and won't go away. My BS level is currently 6.0 (normal fasting level is around 5) which reading here can get elevated when your body has to fight other things. I haven't been able to face any LC foods. When I was ill pre-db diagnosis I would have things like porridge, or heinz soups, baked beans or toast. I do have LC bread but not saying "eat me" in the same way as real bread. And don't have any of the other stuff on what was my fall back list. Don't have the energy to make a LC chicken soup.
So would appreciate some food ideas to get my stomach settled. Don't have much of an appetitie but experience is that a little food gets me on the mend and is needed to give me some energy. Thanks in advance. M

Hope you are feeling a bit better by now. :(

I often use the marigold bouillon powder to make a hot drink as it contains loads of goodness. If unable to eat I may even just liquidise what the rest of the family are having if appropriate and low enough in carbs.

Seems to me you need to get someone else to make you some chicken soup!

Suggestion - when you are feeling better you should set to and make yourself some convalescent foods and freeze them as emergency rations for the future. 8)

Thank you - I am feeling a lot better and found a db friendly chicken stew for this evening in the freezer. Will aim to get back to work tomorow. Like the boullion drink suggestion and will make some provisions for emergencies. M
