I'm all for promoting anything that helps people improve their control of diabetes. I just want to know how Diabetes.co.uk can say "Diabetes Week Offer: FREE meter · FREE Carbs & Cals book · FREE Lancets · FREE delivery" when it actually costs £8.33 per month (only if you actually pay for the year which is £99.96). Do they think we were born yesterday?

There ain't no such thing as a free (low-carb) lunch.

Perhaps you are paying for the test strips?
Hi Catherine,
It's sort of tongue in cheek, there are probably some who recognise that. It's just annoying, It's free, whoopee, only cost £8.33 and even then it's only £8.33 a month if you pay for the whole year in one go. I'd be happier if they just said the truth in the first place. The truth is, it ain't free. Hang on, Victor Meldrew, my inner being is telling me to shut up, crikey I must be bad. LOL
BTW I liked "It is better to have an open mind than one closed by belief. Anon." Perhaps you could add "But not so open that your brains fall out." LOL
