What does NFR stand for on fasting blood glucose test?

Hi, I am in the process of getting tested for pre-diabetes. My first test came back 6.8 and i was asked to get a second test. This came back NFR and the nurse today couldn't tell me what that meant. I had to have another fasting blood test done today. Can anyone advise what NFR means in terms of blood tests please? Many thanks

NFR in a health record means Not For Resuscitation.
I am appalled that they would use NFR for more casual use.

Think you might be thinking of DNR - Do Not Resuscitate

Thanks so much for this. That makes sense. I had more bloods taken today by the same nurse so hopefully she used the correct tube this time......eeek!

Yes NFR means No Fluoride Oxalate Received. The fluoride poisons the enzymes that would otherwise use the glucose during the time between collection and analysis.
On a lighter note when I worked in Pathology there were lots of abbreviations that were amusing, NFR also means "Normal for Rotherham/Reigate/Ripon as appropriate". TTR>1 "Tattoo to Teeth Ratio greater than 1". GOK! "God Only Knows".
