Swash buckling buccaneers celebrated "International Talk Like A Pirate Day" on Monday 19th September.I'm all for aged female pirates!
Dang, missed that!Swash buckling buccaneers celebrated "International Talk Like A Pirate Day" on Monday 19th September.
I have a feeling I'll find it with a simple google search, will do just that tomorrow when not in bed and on my phone.Hmmm! Reminds me of a joke about buccaneers and sundry old salts, that the forum rules and eno's forbid me to post, so I better not.
There are too many to latch on to, to get the one I am thinking of.I have a feeling I'll find it with a simple google search

The opthalmologist did say that there is a possibility that the problem with my eyes could be arthritis. I didn't know that arthritis can affect the eyes. I've been reading about it and it seems likely that that is what the issue is. I've had "dry eyes" for years and that seems to be an early symptom. Didn't realise before this just how little movement I have in my eyes (up/down/left/right). Maybe the specialist, when I see him, will have some suggestions about what to do about it. At least it doesn't affect my actual eyesight. Not so far, anyway.Saw the optician/opthalmologist this afternoon. He thinks he knows what the problem is but he can't do anything about it. He thinks the problem is caused by (maybe) a tiny aneurism in my right eye but he doesn't think it is serious. He is referring me to another eye specialist to see if he's right and if anything needs to be done. I can see perfectly well really and my actual eyesight is good for my age, it's just a bit of a pain in the neck not being able to focus properly at certain distances and in certain directions. I may have to go about covering my right eye to avoid the problem. Maybe I could wear an eye patch and look like a pirate. I'm sure Em would love that.
They look very friendly, best thing to have when feeling rough!I could not have to be too crook as I got a couple of pix of the paramedics.
The Blue Care nurse (he is a nurse at the hospital as well) has just been and done the dressings on my legs, and he has checked me over and given me the ok.Fingers crossed your bruises won't be bothering you too much today.
That's an extreme method to have a visit from 2 attractive girls!Putting the grocery order away that came just before nine, and droppen a tin of sardines,I bent down to pick it up and kept on going. I hit my head on the way down and ended up on the floor. I could not get up, so as my partner was not at home, I pressed the help button on my ememgency pendant.
Got through to my first contact and asked for some help, skipped the second , then it dialled 000 for the emergeny service, I asked for the ambulance give them my details and where I lived.
My contact, and the ambo's arrived about 10 minutes later.
They got me out of the cupboard corner where I ended up and got me back up into a chair. No bones broken as I could move my arms and legs. I have a couple of big bumps on my head where I hit my and barked my left elbow which was oozing a bit of blood. My ribs copped a flogging on what I fell,
They took me the emegency dept. at the base hospital because of the whack on the head.
A quick triage and I was in a bed, being checked by nurse and doctor, they found nothing wrong with blood tests etc. just some bruising around my ribs which is still sore this morning as it must be close to my colon. I was allowed to go home just after 12:00 pm.
I had a lay down after I got home and slept for a fair while.
