"What have you eaten" Parallel Chat

I GOT THE JOB!!!
Wow wow wow! I'm so happy for you both in terms of work and in terms of how the date went! It sounds like a new life. I hope you will be satisfied with both.
I think friendship is no less valuable than love, and besides, it does not imply any jealousy, burdensome obligations, or jointly acquired property that would have to be divided in a divorce. And even if nothing else comes out, it doesn't make it any less valuable that you had a great time.

Friday (today)
09:00 2 scrambled eggs
Lovely group walk. Lots of chat.
13:30 2 cold chicken thighs, coleslaw and hm lc hummus. Half a high protien dessert with extra cream
18:00 fish in sauce (lidl) on cabbage and carrots.

Out tonight, but not a pub nor a quiz! A talk on growing hydrangeas

You have an interesting life! As someone who has all plants dying (a ficus bought a year and a half ago is miraculously alive, but this is an exception), I envy that someone can grow a hydrangea

Thought I'd done well today low carb wise, but came home from talk so hungry that I had
2 slices hm lc soda bread with cream cheese, soem greek yoghurt and 2 sqs 85% chocolate.
Not good as late evening snack.

Talk was also on camellias, clematis and roses and @zhynaka , turns out I've been doing everything wrong! Was interesting and very informative though. Just need to try to remember it all now.

2nd meal was just some more ham and cheese and a couple of bits of cold chicken while I was stripping the cooked chicken from the bones ready to make something tomorrow. BG has just gone over 8 - my Libre has warned me. That's up from 6.6 before eating the ham etc.

Sounds like a wonderful talk. I love anything gardening.

Boring old ham and cheese again for breakfast. But I did make some cauliflower parmesan bits and have just had a few of those.

I really have to get around to making this curry. No reason why I shouldn't. The onions are already cut up, the beans are in a tin (I thought it was chickpeas, but it's butter beans. They'll do.) Coconut milk is in a tin, ready to open - for that I'll have to get out the big commercial tin opener because my wrists aren't up to using a small domestic one. Spices are just in the jars, butter is ready, stock is in the fridge, chicken is shredded and in the fridge. No reason not to do it, except I just want to sleep.

Hoping to feel a bit more lively after I have my iron infusion on Tuesday. Fingers crossed.

Just had a letter in the post saying the dietetics department at the hospital has received my referral but have no idea who referred me, or why. No appointment, just letting me know that I am on their radar.

Alistair was in - he's off sick and was on his way home from A&E, having been sent there from work. He's done some damage to his back, but the hospital doctor thinks it's more muscular than bones. It may be because he's been holding himself differently to protect the injury to his neck and shoulder. Whatever it is, he can barely move, and then only with serious pain. He has been given strong pain killers to help, but looks like being off work for a while. He can't exactly drive around the Island under the influence of strong pain killers. Perhaps he'll feel better when he gets home and can actually take some of the pills.

Early yoga
Then a frustrating trawl though 3 supermarkets for ground almonds. None had any.
Also tried for my favorite nut bars in Lidl but out of stock. Hoping this doesn't mean they are stopping doing them, or that prices are rising if they do come back.
Did get some bacon bits in Home Bargains, £1.49 for 900g. Divided into 100g portions and frozen.
L: 2 chicken thighs with coleslaw. Half a protein chocolate pudding with added double cream.
D: 4 portobello mushrooms topped with cream cheese, bacon and provolone.
A small chocolate ice cream. Large glass white wine

My hotel room for the night.

I have to work early on a ship, and sleeping here saves me an hour of driving tomorrow morning. Plus, I finally have a car with room for a mattress again and I want to test it.

Evening meal will be a mix of cold things, hard boiled eggs, salami, olives, chicory and hummus, chocolate, nuts. Maybe not all of the above but I like having some choice.

Chicken and butter bean curry for breakfast.
2nd meal should be something made with some cod Neil bought for me. I'll get it poached in some milk, but I doubt if I'll eat again tonight. Might make a cod and cream mixture for spreading or dipping with it.

Nothing as exciting as night in a car here!

A walk with a friend for an hour
Brunch of 2 eggs, ham and cream cheese
3 hours dancing
Then home to a meal cooked by son who let himself in while we were out. An early mother's day treat.
Spicy chicken with buttered leeks and green beans. Chocolate profiterole with cream. White wine and soda.
Was lovely to see him (it's been a month) and even nicer to come in to a hot home cooked lc meal. One very happy Mum!

The last of the chicken and butter bean curry for breakfast.

Must make the cod kind of spread with the cooked fish today. It's based on a French recipe using salt cod, but I couldn't get any salted so am just going to make do with unsalted. Must also use the ready chopped cabbage and the last of the sausages to make another meal, ready to go for tomorrow. Tomorrow is going to be taken up by having an iron infusion in the middle of the day so I don't want to be messing around late in the day trying to make a meal and giving up.
