@Annb - have you tried any of the threads on the site for insulin users? I know there are more than a few knowledgeable insulin users on here that maybe would have some insight?I should have known better than to think I had it half way sorted!
About 2 yesterday afternoon BG started to drop and despite taking action to halt the drop, the BG just wouldn't get up above 4.5 until I finally found a chocolate bar in the cupboard and ate the whole thing. That put it up to 8.5 at 5.20 and it kept going up for another hour to 9.5. Then at 8 pm I had my 2nd meal - braised cabbage and carrot with a pork loin steak. And the BG dropped again. By 9 pm the Libre was warning me of a drop below 4.5 (I'm going to change the alarm level). Had a mint imperial and it stayed at 4.4. Gave up and went to bed but the alarm woke me up again at 1.30 am so I had another mint imperial and BG went up to 6.2 by 3.25 am.
But by 7 am BG was 11.2 (30 units Humalog) and 12.2 by 8.30. Took my basal dose and then at 9.15, my bolus dose before scrambled egg and refried cabbage and carrot, with some extra spring onion.
AT 10.30 BG was OK at 7.5. Today I am very thirsty though and have had quite a few cups of tea already.
So the pattern I thought I was beginning to identify is just as wrong as all the other theories I've had. Things always just seem to work for me for a day or so, and then I go back to the usual choatic BG regime.
I am planning another meal today - of a veggie stew but low on carbs. Staying away from meat just now - the only meat I've had available in the last few days has been pork in one form or another and I don't feel like having any more just now but I had egg this morning and I don't feel that I can stomach cheese either. So, just veggies.

I had to go private for both chiropodist and the dentist which is probably why I get seen. I was seen once on the SNHS by a chiropodist/podiatrist, was told that I wasn't a priority so I don't "qualify" for regular appointments. Dentist, I've been private for years as it is pretty much impossible to get on an NHS list plus, even when I was NHS it was still costly. At least you get appointments when private and it's not fatal (until this bridge of mine is replaced that is!).
I simply use my browser, works just fine on both phone and PC.This is @DJC3 ’s news really (thanks!) but Copy Me That is back in the App Store on iOS so it’s now re-installed on my iPad, yay!
