Today should have been spareribs and some other things on the grill in the garden while teaching ourselves to splice an 8 stranded rope with a date found on a dating site. No such luck, said date has the flu. So my house is more clean than usual, which is actually quite nice, and the spareribs are in the freezer waiting for my date to recover. I found some leftover shawarma in the freezer and had a mainly carnivore meal of shawarma with some mayonnaise, hot sauce and garlic, too lazy for chopping onions or bell pepper. I've had an overload of veggies eating vegetarian meals with my group for 7 days (except for that one herring and some pork scratchings in my cabin), and the combination of being tired from the week and the deflation of the not-date justifies eating whatever is easy in my book. Anyone with experience of online dating here? Being new to this game,I find it quite confusing. I'm talking to two men at the moment but it's only short text messages. I have a date planned with both of them, Jan should have been today but is postponed until he's recovered from the flu, and now I have a date with a Tom on friday. My common sense and my friends tell me that both of those dates will likely end in a nice evening with food and drinks, nothing more, no repeated dates, so chatting with both is perfectly fine until at least after meeting for the first time. But it definitely does feel confusing. Looking forward to my date though! I'm going to the city of Groningen, and a good friend literally lives 200 meters from his place. So if after drinks (I'm by car so I'll be stuck in the city when drinking) I decide I dislike hime enough to not even want to spend the night on his couch, I'll have a back up plan and get to visit a friend I don't see nearly enough. :)
