Numbers haven't been so good recently. Not sure why. Could be a deterioration due to this mitchondrial thingy, could be something to do with change in diuretic medication which has led to me putting on a lot of weight. Might be because I'm still trying to reduce the amount of bolus insulin that I take. Maybe I need to review my diet and make sure I'm staying within the carb boundary that I have set myself. I'll see what the nurse says this afternoon. I really only want information from her about HBa1c and other diabetes types , perhaps see if she has any guidance on correction dosing, but don't intend to take notice of the dietary suggestions, which she is bound to make. Breakfast currently heating up - more of the Cullen skink. The resistant starch porridge actually worked yesterday, but it left me hungry so I had 3 meals instead of 2. That won't help my weight. BG did a bit of yo-yoing as well after the porridge. Topped out at 16 after dropping to 3.7. I did bolus for what I thought the porridge would require, and probably got that wrong, hence 3.7. BG currently 8.5, dropping from 9.7 (caused by decaf coffee because I couldn't be bothered to get out the new jar of full-blown coffee). So what to dose for the soup, I wonder. Shopping day today so we'll see what Neil comes home with from my list for my 2nd meal.
