I'm not really sure how well the pickled veg experiment worked out - my FBG was 6.9 this morning. I've been doing some googling about vinegar and diabetes and it seems there is evidence that apple cider vinegar taken before bed can lower FBG - so I'm going to give that a try tonight. I'll let you know if it works. Today I'm fasting, so Breakfast and Lunch: Just black decaff, redbush tea and lots and lots of water. Dinner: Small home made lamb burgers (meatball size) with Moroccan spices. A side dish of griddled halloumi and pickled cherry peppers and pickled garlic cloves (to carry on the pickled theme). A fake couscous made with grated cauliflower sauteed in olive oil (and plenty of garlic) then finished with a little grated lemon zest, fresh chopped herbs, a few slivers of toasted almonds and some toasted cumin and fennel seeds and a little very finely chopped chilli and finely chopped yellow pepper. And, probably, a dollop of spiced up full fat Greek yoghurt. Yes, I know its not really authentic but its yummy and low carb!
