[QUOTE="zzcanasta, post: 1191236, member: 268409"] Yesterday (Tues 28/6) B: Cup of tea L: Tinned mackerel with 3-bean and mint salad; apple; piece of dark chocolate (75%) D: Bowl of veg soup (with added chickpeas); full fat yoghurt with a multitude of berries and linseed mix; apple Snacks: coffee, handful of nuts Despite the somewhat austere nature of the above intake, I've recently begun to add slightly more carbs (eg a couple of small roast potatoes with my Sunday dinner; the occasional slice of toast with my porridge) into my meals. This seems to have had no effect on my weight, which has been stable (between 9st 2lbs and 9st 4lbs) for the past four months or so. I don't eat breakfast during the week, but do have porridge at weekends (and sometimes as a replacement evening meal if the rest of the Canasta clan is whooping it up with pasta, pizza, fish 'n chips, etc), so perhaps the regular mini-fasting is helpful in this regard. I've also found that breakfast is more a state of mind than anything else - found it difficult to go without the first few times, but now don't even think about it, and can't say I've noticed any diminution of energy/concentration/physical strength in the mornings.
