Poor Mr. G has got either a bit of a tummy bug or a chill, result a sore, gurgling tummy and too many loo visits so he's cutting back the veg a bit :( (could some of it maybe be the blood pressure medication dosage now he's lost some weight I wonder?) Sunday brunch - porridge dinner - roast pork, a spoonful of root veg mash for me and cabbage braised with bacon, garlic, red peppers and leeks, (finished with a little knob of butter) on the side. Pud was Alpro yoghurt and a few berries. Monday breakfast - porridge lunch - homemade soup (smaller portion for Mr. G. with a bit of root veg mash added so more starch and less fibre for him). dinner - chicken stir fry with mushrooms (more mushrooms and less veg for Mr. G.) Mr. G. was feeling a bit better yesterday but then worse later in the day. Tuesday breakfast - porridge (usual, made with water and finished with almond milk and ground flax seed) lunch - out, so had a very nice ham salad with some lovely coleslaw, feta cheese and a boiled egg added. (resisted the fruity couscous and the pesto pasta spirals with pine nuts - Mr G said they were both very tasty) dinner - gammon steak with a mushroom omelette (4/5th for Mr. G and 1/5th for me - I had a good lunch), a homemade tattie scone and a couple of tiny toms fried for Mr. G. and some salad for me. Mr. G's appetite seems to be ok but I'm trying to keep his veggies down a bit, good job he's seeing the doc. on Thursday anyway.
