Tea Cwc Then it was off to the ophthalmologist for my 11.20 eye appointment. I thought I would have something to eat when we came home. It was apparently his last day before going on holiday for 4 weeks- the surgery was bursting full. I had my eye pressure, strength etc checked and the drops to dilate the pupils. But it was 3 hrs 20 mins before I actually saw the doctor. I’d reached the stage where I couldn’t sit any longer. Anyway he was impressed and pleased with my LC diet, bg levels. He said that everything is perfect, and that since my bg levels are good without meds, and I’m controlling it with diet, then I could leave the next check up for two years if I want. And he actually smiled!!! I know that I have a way to go, but as far as he’s concerned my bg levels are now lower than they were when I was taking Metformin, and, as I’m about 10 kgs lighter, he can see that I’m following a LC diet. He said that OH should do it too. :))) At about 4 pm I had LC bread with cheese, then yoghurt and berries. Tea, water. I might have a baby bel and some nuts.
