Horrible day today - that's the result of all the energy used (mostly mental - DIL did all the work) yesterday plus being dreadfully stiff after being cramped in that very small seat on the plane. Walking more difficult than usual, groggy despite lots of sleep, nauseous - not much food so far today. Much of it is because I had decided to go to town with Neil today so that I could get myself some fish for my Christmas dinner and he always goes very early so that he doesn't meet up with many others in the shops. So - no time to eat. Just a cup of tea and away. Brunch: chicken mayo wholemeal sandwich, but it was really too late and I was already feeling poorly. And after all, there was nothing much in the way of fish that I wanted. The only thing that I might have wanted was fresh tuna - except here, it couldn't possibly be fresh and it didn't really look very fresh either. So I ended up with 2 little skate wings. Might still use them for my Christmas meal. At present I have 2 gammon steaks in a pan and a salmon tail in the oven - they both had to be used up, so I'm cooking them and will put them in the freezer. Don't think I'll be eating this evening - not unless I can start to feel half decent rather than half dead. Ah well. Tomorrow is another day.
