2 fried eggs for breakfast - went out for my podiatry appointment. We couldn't get parked anywhere near the surgery so Neil had to push me for about a quarter of a mile - the last few hundred yards uphill - to get me there. It was snowing and very cold sitting in that chair and facing into the wind. Poor Neil - it's not as if he's in the best of health either. He was kind of puffed out when we got there. This is the only GP surgery that has a podiatrist and they are very busy now that the hospital is no longer doing feet and the other, old fashioned, chiropodist has decided to retire. They are on one of Stornoway's main streets and have no parking area of their own - just on street parking, which is always completely taken up - even the disabled space across the road from the surgery (by people without Blue Badges). He made it - without him I never could have. The upshot was, by the time we got home we were both cold and hungry. Neil made himself a quick pasta dish with mushrooms and yoghurt and I made myself a cold chicken sandwich. That wasn't in the plan. Soon Em arrived from school and I didn't get around to putting on my beef stew until quite late on. It is still cooking away and should be ready in another hour.
