What have you eaten today?

It sound perfect... It seems that none of us should eat wheat, and most carbs, ever? My husband is eating with me and although he is the carb king he says, after three weeks, that he didn't dribble when he popped to the bakery this morning early for bottled water... I see from an earlier post that we produce a specific enzyme to deal with carbs... must have stopped producing it then...

Morning All,
(Feeling almost back to normal today! )

I thought it was time to test my HbA1c again, so I hauled my last test kit out of the back of the fridge and ran it.
FAIL
No result and an error message.

Not happy.
What a waste of money!

So, I thought I would let you know that I have decided to award myself an imaginary (and delightfully celebratory) low score!
In the normal range. Of course.
And since until last week my BG hadn't risen above 7 for 2 months, I'm thinking I should be in the Less-Than-42 (aka the old 5% club)
I deserve it.
Even if I have no proof at all.

So, I'm celebrating my new a1c folks. Wanna join me in an equally imaginary party?
I've got imaginary LC cheese straws and plenty of imaginary booze. And I'm not driving.

I'm in.. I love parties... I'm flying home tonight and will make cheese straws tomorrow.. lush...

... and congratulations on your lovely low score... bravo..

We don't have an icon with a party hat and squeaker, so I have my imaginary one on...

Loving all the positivity this morning!! Party? Count me in
Good, the more the merrier.. We went to our fave Chinese restaurant last night for the first time since I was told I had a problem... I've been eating to my meter since... I had crispy duck wrapped in chinese cabbage leaves with broccoli and oyster sauce, followed by Chiliean Sea Bass steamed with blackbean sauce and spinach... it was brilliant... this morning I have 5.7 fasting which is up a bit, but I am still celebrating dear Brunneria's 'low score'...

Brill, I havent been to a party for yonks! As its imaginary, can I wear my size 12 evening dress, heels and loads of bling? And can I eat jacket pots with a variety of fillings? Or a plate of creamy mash with loads of butter will do?

It sounds idyllic @Susikav , Im so jealous! I agree, carbs hurt us. One thing that someone said in a post was 'Our poorly bodies are being poisoned' which resonates with me. And the NHS collude with this and make us feel stupid and irresponsible when our health continues to deteriorate.

Poor I hope you feel better soon... Maybe some soft scrambled egg would settle you?

The way I felt yesterday, eggs was the last thing I wanted! Literally could not face anything at all, just sips of water. However, feeling much better today - so far! Made some porrige with skimmed milk and a dash of cream for brekkie

I'll do one later for you and let you know your score.

@Brunneria congrats on those excellent results . Red win will go really well with the cheese straws so I'll bring a box of that and a few nuts forgot measure
