Hi everyone, I feel silly to ask but I did read on a thread somewhere that having a shower etc can stop your blood glucose from being fasting. I thought it was all about eating, could anyone clarify for me please! Tia

I don't know where you saw it, but I *think* they meant the following: If you want to know your FBG, you want to test before you get out of bed. "Foot on the floor" is a thing. The moment you get up your liver possibly starts dumping glucose, so it'll rise before your breakfast. Technically speaking any fasted test is a fasted test... But if you want to know what it is without Dawn Phenomenon cranking your numbers up, you test before you do anything else.
