I think you mean that you eat low glycaemic foods. This is just my opinion so please do not take it as a slur but carbohydrates are carbohydrates, it doesn't matter what colour they are or where they sit on the Glycaemic Index they are still carbs and will still be absorbed.
However, maintaining HBA1C is obligatory on type I and type II so that hemoglobin can work well and transfer oxygen to Parts of the bodyAh yeah thats the one...
I have cut carbs a lot and I am proud of where I am at the moment, I haven't gone the full distance because I am type 1 and type 2s are different but I do understand the benefits, however because I am not insulin resistant and can carb count with my Novo Rapid, I can still control my BSL readings really well. However, I understand that Carbs are my enemy and thats why I have taken steps at reducing them recently. I don't load my meals with carbs because I can, as too many carbs spike me and I feel like turd, however I never spike when eating slow release carbs and when I limit my portion sizes. If I slightly mess up my Insulin and have eaten carbs then I pay for it with High sugars, so I need to be on the ball, this is why ive reduced my carb intake significantly.
A great majority of my dinners and tea consist of mostly vegetables and meats, and less carbs than ever before.
There is mate, if bananas get expensive which they do after a cyclone, then the price for bananas can get up to $20.00 a kg, then you do not eat them at all. There is no difference between cheap and expensive
Thanks for the clarificationThere is mate, if bananas get expensive which they do after a cyclone, then the price for bananas can get up to $20.00 a kg, then you do not eat them at all.
When they are $00.50 a kg we ate them for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and any other time we could fit one in.
Here is what this website says about the HbA1c test, scroll down to the paragraph entitled “How does the HbA1c test work”, it says 8 - 12 weeks with a bias towards the weeks immediately preceding the test.

Hi Guzzler
Don't know if you have this information about a1c How much time will it take to up 0.1% With how eAG ?
Thank youSorry, Hicham, I'm not sure I understand your question.
If you are asking how long it takes for A1c to fall by a particular percentage then it is a matter of variables. We know how to aid this but so many things can affect the time it takes that putting even a range of time on it would, in my opinion, be guessing.
Thank you
This is exactly what I meant
I think this is what he means.Sorry, Hicham, I'm not sure I understand your question.

Not wishing to be confrontational but why would you seek out low carb alternatives to foods that are absolutely taboo such as pasta, potatoes, rice, etc.?I think this is what he means.
It took me nearly 18 months to chip my 5.4% down a point to 5.3%, I am not on a strict low carb meal plan as I eat lower carb bread and potatoes, and some other foods that would make the zealots shudder.
Because I can although I do not eat rice, I have lost enough weight to get into my old 102 cm waist size Levi jeans. My three monthly is around the 5.25 at the beginning of the month. Not wishing to be confrontational but why would you seek out low carb alternatives to foods that are absolutely taboo such as pasta, potatoes, rice, etc.?
I have been eating spuds and bread for seventy years, so eating lower carb bread and spuds is ok in my book. I eat a lot of meat and dairy products, although I do not like milk or cream. There are so many high fat low carb foods that satiate, you really don't need these unnecessary carbs.
Everyone has an opinion, they are like rectums everybody has one.Sorry to pontificate... but it's in my nature (Aesop).
Thank you.Well, you are absolutely brilliant and I wholeheartedly congratulate you on your achievement.
I take statins as well.Nevertheless... Confucius him say "Don't push your luck".
Carby foods are not absolutely taboo for everyone because we are all individuals and have different tolerances. I eat small portions of low carb bread and potatoes and, occasionally, reheated pasta. Rice still tends to spike me more than I would like so tend to avoid it. I have tested these and my BS has stayed within levels that I find acceptable - although I appreciate not everybody would be content as they may like their BS to be lower. Not wishing to be confrontational but why would you seek out low carb alternatives to foods that are absolutely taboo such as pasta, potatoes, rice, etc.?
