Can anybody share experience on what exactly is the peak hour when fasting blood sugar level is the highest ? I mean at what time after intake of dinner ?

Not sure what you mean. Do you mean how long should the fast be before taking a fasting test? Usually 8 or more hours I believe. My own fasting tests are longer than this. I can finish eating at 7-30pm and test the following morning at 8-30am. So 13 hours for me.

Or do you mean how soon after eating is your peak? No answer to that. It depends what you eat.

It could be from 1/2 an hour to a few hours. It is really an individual thing - everyone is different for the same meal. It also depends what was eaten (how much carbs versus protein, versus fat) , how much, how fast, what was the meal you had previously, etc.

As a side note, that would be called the postprandial, or post meal, peak, not a fasting blood sugar level.

I think she meant testing not fasting typo..and wanted to know how long after eating a meal would she expect her BG to be highest

I think I was not able to put my question clearly
I actually want to know when in the morning ( before breakfast) the BS is normally high ,is it early morning, late morning ? May be there are some set principles that illustrates after how many hours of fasting the BS level is stabilized close to normal ,it could be 8 ,10, or 12 hours of fasting ? I noticed that my readings after 6-7 hours of fasting are less than that of 12 hours of fasting

Everybody is different. I suspect it may depend if you experience the "dawn phenomenon" or not, whether you have stayed in bed, or gotten up to do normal things, or gone exercising, what you ate just before going to bed, etc. I don't think there are any set principals that apply to everyone. The best approach for answering you question for yourself would be to experiment with fasting and see for yourself. I remember once when I first got my meter that it took about 16 hours after eating a carby pasta meal for my level to get back to the pre-meal level. But that was a long time ago when I was much more insulin resistant.

Everyone is different, I do it first thing wake up wash hands and test.
Oh well leave water on for a minute to get slightly warm water else I finger prick and my hand is too cold and I don't even get to know if I did get it right as I am so sleepy anyways

I also do it as soon as I have got out of bed and washed my hands, no matter whether I am early up or late up. The level will be what the level is. Nothing I can do about it. We are all different.
