Hi,
I am also a T2 on metformin. Trying to get my bg under control I started having episodes of feeling lousy, shaky and wobbly, when I checked bg it was lower than I was used to. Discussed with my diabetic nurse and she agreed this was going hypo for me (even though on metfomin), she advised I should act on it, have 3 glucose tablets or some ordinary cola , then some starchy carbohydrate e.g a cereal bar, or some biscuits/toast. I carry glucose tabs and a cereal bar with me the whole time. I know T2 shouldn't get crashing hypos like T1 do but you can feel very lousy and I struggled holding anything because I was so shaky
