what is type 1.5??

I am type 1 diabetic, have been for 12 years.
I was an average healthy 13 year old until I suddenly got ill and thought I had a virus throwing up, always thirsty, not getting hungry, strange tastes in my mouth, blurred vision. After a fewmore days I was rushed to hospital diagnosed with type 1. While learning about the condition and what it was I found out things about type 2 gestational and diet controlled but never have I heard of 1.5 I feel a bit ignorant and just wondered what is type 1.5?

It's essentially a later onset diabetes that has characteristics of both Type 1 and Type 2 at a genetic level.

Thank you, I was selecting which type of had and felt quite ignorant not knowing 1.5 existed
