What is wrong with the forum?

I have been unable to log in for a week. Last week the website was taken down with no warning to members, and ever since then I have been unable to log in. I have asked repeatedly for help with this problem but no one at the forum has helped. I have only been sent misinformation about how to change my password. I miss the forum and the other members and am literally sick with disappointment in the site and its administrators. Are other members having the same problem?

Hi @SaskiaCatz , I'm sorry to hear about your issues with the forum.
Last friday, the forum had an unannounced update, and apart from other things some members had issues logging back in.

I take it you have another account you'd like to have back?
If so, could you log out with your current account and then try this link to reset your password? It won't work while you're logged in with the SaskiaCatz account!

I have just spent 10 minutes trying to post a reply to the mod's post and the thread would not accept my reply. I can't ask for help, I can't send PMs, even to reply to the welcome PM I received earlier today. I don't know what's going on but I am absolutely shattered that I can't communicate with anyone here. What has happened to this site?

Because this account has less than 5 posts still, you can't post links yet.
Annoyingly, the software picks up links in quotes as well, in this case the lost password link in my post.

Please reply without quoting my post and you should be able to.

Same for the PM function. You'll only be able to send PM's after you've posted 5 posts. Annoying, but very useful for online safety. We don't want creeps to join and never post to stay under the mod's radar, but in the mean time sending scamming PMs to new and vulnerable members.

What happens if you log out and use the Lost Password button in our forum rules?
