You may be better with the wholemeal pasta, I know some here can tolerate I can't unfortunately , if you have to do without pasta you will get used to it, I have a big Italian contingency in my family and I managed it, there are lots of alternatives, cauliflower rice as others have mentioned, ribbon veg as pasta alt, or the water noodles, I have had to stop eating these now too though as they give me a really bad tummy.
Lunches I have chicken or prawn stirfry, roasted Mediterranean veggies with feta crumbled in, winter I make my own soups,
My biggest lesson I learnt ( though it took me 50 years to learn it haha) is that there is a big difference between being full and being not hungry - I think it's a good lesson for everyone in general
