What music are you listening to?

I'm not a great Country Music fan but I must confess to liking Alison Krauss - particularly when she sings Richard Thompson

(I think I may have posted this one before - in which case I apologise: so good, I did it twice )

Great album. Have you heard Raising Sand with Robert Plant?
I've got it (and Paper Airplane) - brilliant albums, both of them.

Whilst on the subject of Robert Plant, I really admire the way he has re-invented himself to take account of the effect that the passing years have had on his voice. You can't be a grunting Rock God when you're seventy but you can still make great music.

I love many types of music..Classical, Heavy Rock, Soul, Opera, some Pop, Gregorian Chant, Viking Music, Fantasy Music, They only music that I do not like is Blues and Jazz, oh hate Swing music. Although I like Blues with Eric Clapton

Oddly, i always hear a heavy Queen influence when i listen to this band...
I don't think they'd deny that themselves. Certainly, the instrumental break in the middle of this track is very close to being nicked from a similar passage in Bohemian Rhapsody

Not listening to it at the moment, but tonight we're going to see the brilliant Fragile Lucy. Brilliant, if for no other reason than that she has written the lines "I don't eat soya to annoy yer". Before anyone says it, I concede that she's an acquired taste and the sound and vision quality of this clip doesn't really do her justice, but she's a star

Queen has been a massive influence on Muse. Both the 'Black Holes and Revelations' and 'The Resistance' albums contain striking similarities to Queen on many tracks. Brian May even praised the band on 'The Resistance' for this reason.

I've fallen for "Echosmith", their a pretty good band with all the members being related to each other

I can only imagine how immense this particularly fantastic cover would have been had Dolores O'Riordan been able to collaborate on it.
