Omlettes... That's what I tend to go for when I do t know what I want or fancy. You can throw any thing in you fancy, ham, mushrooms, cheese, left over veg or all of them... It's filling, low carb and easy to do.
Hi, i am patrick, i'm new to all this. I drive a truck long distance, what would be the best low carb foods to eat while away from home for 2 weeks at a time. I have a gas ring in the truck and was thinking of getting a slow cooker as well. I am type 2 about 2 years and my clinic nurse said that my stats were not good at all last time i was tested. Need to change big time before it starts to effect me. Its hard out on the road trying to cook meals after 12 hrs driving etc.
Any and all suggestions welcome
Many thanks
Patrick
I also drive for a living.
When I'm out and hungry I look for a salad of some sort without the following (rice, pasta, potato), I also buy an avocado and one of the following (Tin of: Tuna, Mackrell, Salmon or Sardines) as well as Olives and sun blushed tomatoes. Then it's mix and match.
A sandwich of any discription is a no no.
Sometimes I pop into KFC and buy a piece of chicken breast, I remove the skin and have it with some of the above.
