I had a huge food delivery today, my freezer, fridge and food cupboards are overflowing, I'm hungry and know I should eat something very soon or I'll be having a huge spike from a liver dump! But there's not a single thing I fancy to eat, not even the fillet steak in my fridge!
Pre-low carbing I'd have had beans on toast or a big jacket spud on days like this, but they're out. Do you ever feel like this, and what do you do about it?

Hi, a few times! Think for me it is usually because I have left it too long before eating and I get indecisive/can't be bothered! If this happens realised best thing is to eat something quick, nuts, tsp of almond butter, yoghurt, and then decide what more I want!

Maybe right now u r literally spoilt for choice!

All the best

D

PS I also resort to a bacon sandwich using Livlife bread!

The fillet steak would be my first choice ;)

It would normally be mine, I love fillet steak and have decided to treat myself to one every week. Don't know what's wrong with me, just don't want or can't be bothered to eat!
Just made a latte and ate 2 huge strawberries while I was waiting, but that won't get me very far!

Omlettes... That's what I tend to go for when I do t know what I want or fancy. You can throw any thing in you fancy, ham, mushrooms, cheese, left over veg or all of them... It's filling, low carb and easy to do.

I had a mushroom omelette for lunch.
Tonight I ended up making some egg mayo and had that with 2 ryvita and a tomato

Hi, i am patrick, i'm new to all this. I drive a truck long distance, what would be the best low carb foods to eat while away from home for 2 weeks at a time. I have a gas ring in the truck and was thinking of getting a slow cooker as well. I am type 2 about 2 years and my clinic nurse said that my stats were not good at all last time i was tested. Need to change big time before it starts to effect me. Its hard out on the road trying to cook meals after 12 hrs driving etc.
Any and all suggestions welcome

Many thanks

Patrick

I'd be interested in the answers too, this will be the first year of low carbing while out and about in my camper, it's all so different when you have diet restrictions to think about as well!

I also drive for a living.
When I'm out and hungry I look for a salad of some sort without the following (rice, pasta, potato), I also buy an avocado and one of the following (Tin of: Tuna, Mackrell, Salmon or Sardines) as well as Olives and sun blushed tomatoes. Then it's mix and match.
A sandwich of any discription is a no no.
Sometimes I pop into KFC and buy a piece of chicken breast, I remove the skin and have it with some of the above.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who has to remove the skin, everyone keeps saying to eat it! :yuck:
