good morning , i have had type 2 since aug 2013 and until june this year i was keeping it under control with my blood counts . i am a very fussy eater and since june i havent been able to keep the mornings blood count under 8.0 , it always seems to be hitting the 9.0 or around that area . i no longer smoke since june 2013 due to a heart attack and hardly drink now as i was a heavy drinker . has any one got any suggestions as to how i go about keeping it down to the recommended count which is supposed to be under 6.0 in the morning which was set by my doctor ...steve

Hi Steve and welcome to the forum.

Are you on any medication?

What are your normal readings when you go to bed? This could be important, as it would show if you are going up overnight.
When do you last eat before bedtime?
What is a typical evening meal for you?
Have your morning levels gone up, or have they always been high?
