Ok, was diagnosed type 2 about 7 years ago. All was well other than my doc wanting me on statins or whatever NOW type thing. Funny thing, I neither smoke nor drink and he has on my paperwork/screen that I do? Also, every eye test has been totally clear, feet totally clear, no problems what so ever BUT, one other doc reckoned I was "35 points away from dying" and even showed me on a wee bit of paper where he drew line with a pen! Yes, I am 5 foot 6 and 15 stone 6 which goes up and down like a yo yo. Also, when ever I ask about taking the bad cholesterol reading from the good, or what ever and the fact I am Scottish, they all start muttering and mumbling. Anyway, today I used my mother in laws blood tester after a 15 hour fast, I don't eat int he mornings, never have done, and the reading was 13.2.........Ho hum said I. She said "don't worry about it, it isn't all that high. ". So, what do you all reckon about what the docs have been saying and how everything else is fine. Oh, and when I get my feet tested, they ALWAYS look suprised! And ask about my smoking and drinking........... I am starting to think they have the wrong guy on the screen!!!!! Oh, another thing they like to say is that I don't get enough exercise. I dig graves, climb trees, mow lawns, build walls, play golf. I the summer I can walk up to 7 mile a day cutting grass!! Again, they always look suprised.
