I think we all have different methods of eating. Some graze all day, others stick to a set pattern of 3 meals. It isn't a good idea to miss a meal. As long as your snacks are healthy ones from a diabetic point of view, then that is fine, but you must make sure you are eating enough protein and fats to make up for the lost energy by cutting carbs.
My personal regime is breakfast within 20 minutes of getting up. Lunch about 4 hours later. Evening meal (the main meal) about 7pm. Apart from breakfast, we always set the table and sit together for our meals. We always did as a family, and still do now there is just the 2 of us. I would still do it if I were on my own. It makes the meal more special and enjoyable somehow. I am not a snacker, never have been. I am always satisfied after a meal and for several hours afterwards. If I do get hungry I have a cup of tea and I drink loads of water throughout the day.
