What to do with used pens?

Hi everyone, just wondering what everyone does with used insulin pens? Can they be recycled or returned to pharmacy?

When I used them I returned them to the pharmacy. I use cartridges now, but still return those to pharmacy along with any other unused meds.

I have a sharps box exchange through the local council

I just removed the needle and put it in the sharps pen and disposed of the pen in the household waste,

Just throw it in the dustbin, minus needle.

I take mine back to the chemists when I pick up my prescription. I don't believe you're supposed to throw any medication in the bin and there's usually a little insulin left in the pen.

I remove the needle and put it in a sharps bin then throw the pen in the normal bin.

I also just throw mine in the bin with the regular household waste...
