We just find a supermarket ..purchase a bowl of fresh salad .. small jar of mayonnaise and a section pack of veggie cheese ... We keep paper plates and plastic cutlery in the car ...The hardest part is trying to find something to eat if you are out and about and haven't planned anything.
Healthcare wise, I have not had a Diabetes Nurse inflicted upon me, and my GP knows I have ignored everything he told me to do, and now just tells me to keep doing what I'm doing as it's working.

For you personally, is it the hypos, constant testing, lugging your stuff around, lack of flexibility/freedom, financial costs? Have you experienced some of the more brutal affects or lost loved ones?
Its a horrible disease but I think it's important to share these things as we all try to control it.
Me too Southbeds, but the worst thing for me is -no more Cadburys Caramel Chocolate or Scotch pies - ever!As someone who as good control and reversed my diabetes by following a lowcab diet I have not problems ,evey thing is good
