Hi Punk1 and welcome to the forum We can't give you the answers you want as we are not medical professionals, and even if we were we don't have any data. I'm afraid you will have to be patient and wait until your doctor's appointment. I am glad you are feeling fine though!

Here is some information which will be useful to you - give it a good read before your appointment. Ask as many questions as you like and we will try to answer them.

Hi. A lot will depend on how old you are, what your weight is and various other factors as to what type you are. If you are older and perhaps overweight then a T2 diagnosis would be typical and diet would be recommended together with tablets if needed. Injections would normally only come a lot later if your blood sugar did not come down. Younger people perhaps in their 20s or 30s who are also not overweight might fall into the late onset T1 category and diet plus insulin might then be required. Obviously we aren't in a position to diagnose you but do follow Daisy's dietary advice anyway and this forum should help you know the questions to ask. As and when diagnosed as either T1 or T2 you should receive at least annual blood and urine tests; more frequently to start with together with eye and feet checks.

Thank you, I am 47 male, prob 10lb over weight, I exercise! But let myself go diet wise since being impaired, I also suffer unfortunately from liver disease , if I take control of the diagnosis, what's the outcome?? Thank you
