What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Nurse said:
Another 5 days steroids and 7 days of new antibiotics for my chest.
Glicazide 40mg daily for a week. Given a testing kit and told to test before meals and keep a diary to show to the doc next week.
She said we were running out of options and insulin was a likely outcome.
She would not discuss further testing or a referral to a specialist. She said mention it to the doctor next week but she didn’t see there was any need.
She told me to include carbs in my diet but restrict processed carbs. Seems to fly in the face of everything else.
 
4.5 this morning when I came round. May have something to do with the rather excessive amount of alcohol consumed until the early hours of the morning, when I had to be virtually carried upstairs by my son and grandson.
