What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Apologies if some of you do not think this is in the right place but i thought it might be useful/nteresting to some of you.?

FutureLearn is a digital education platform founded in December 2012. The company is wholly owned by The Open University in Milton Keynes, England.

FutureLearn have just started a free online course on the “ Diabetes Epidemic”

A google search with FutureLearn will get you to the homepage

They do a great range of other courses too many of them free

Hi I've tried a few of their courses. They are great as they don't cost but I found that they lacked academic rigour...Often there were no references to items stated as fact and there was no response by the organiser when I queried this. I'd be interested to hear from others that have done courses....

Fair comment

Good morning people

Sweet smelling French Jasmin on a day when things are likely to prove a bit less sweet smelling for me as I take the day off work, (actually working from home would be a fairer comment) as I have to prepare for a gastroscopy and colonoscopy tomorrow morning.

Not even risking a walk today as I don't know when the little pills I took last night to "clean out my system" will kick into action.

Actually, glucose control will be a secondary consideration for the next couple of days; the recommended diet for the preparation is not what one would call low carb, pasta and white bread and no vegetables.

Morning sugars this morning at 5, 2 which is not bad considering I had a whole pitta bread last night.

Good morning!
(28/9/17) at 4.15am
FBG = 6.5
Not bad after a day celebrating our 15 year anni of our 1st date!

Today is 5 years since we moved here, to our home with sea view!

Next celebration on Friday... Our 1st night out alone in quite some time! My step-daughter will be at home with my BiL

Buon giorno a tutti voi da tutti i miei pesci diabetici più deliziosi. I have just put the final piece into the diabetic jigsaw puzzle that I bought a while ago. The picture is a large 3.1. I am quite pleased with myself as it has taken me 3 months to complete. On the side of the box it says 4 - 5 years. My blood sugars must be 3.1mmols. My dawg is sat with her long spindly legs crossed together and I suspect she needs the great outdoors and then I must away for a day of joy making car number plates. Lucky, luck luckier than Kylie Minogue, that's what I am. Enjoy your Thursday stuff you lucky, lucky lucky diabetics

The procedure will be over before you know it!!
