I will look in the freezer and see what I can find, no idea at the moment, but definitely a yogurt for after meal I would of had the raspberries I bought yesterday, but teenager and I have eaten them .........all

Had dinner with friends Pat & Chris - Jerk Chicken (Slimming World recipe) veggies followed by fruit salad (grapes, blueberries, raspberries, yoghurt) a snifter of Jura and coffee. Very tasty.

Well; it was really nice. Starters were canapés - I had to avoid the stilton tartlets but there was a fab. one made of seared scallops on a bed of pureéd pea with mint (probably not brilliant carb-wise, but OK in small amounts) and little parcels of parma ham containing parmesan shavings, green leaves and a little chopped date (ditto). Then main course of duck, and wine sauce, and several aforementioned lush puddings which I manfully resisted. Copious quantities of Champagne, which I also resisted because I was driving, and some very nice Burgundy, of which I allowed myself one glass. Espresso from their coffee machine which I thought tasted a bit odd and then realised that it was decaff. I mean really: what's the point of that? :***: Mrs Hay-Char did not share my restraint in the Champagne department and is feeling a bit jaded this morning

The husband, incidentally, got stuck into everything, including numerous spuds, and a couple of puddings so I dunno, really.....

Nice evening, anyway.
