Lets say a product states 20g Carb of which 10g are sugar and another says 20g Carb of which 2g are sugar - which is best for low carb diet ? and if 10g are sugar what's the rest made of ?
Because logic would suggest that you could have a relatively high carb content but if it consists of low sugar then it could be bettter than low carb with high sugar !!!
Anyone follow that ????

When checking food labels it is the total carb content you want.So if it says 20gm per 100 ,personally I would give it a miss!(but that is me not you) The sugars (simple) convert quickly in the body but the rest of the carbs (complex) also convert into glucose ,just more slowly .That is why you check for total carbs .

They are both 20g Carb.

The higher sugar content will hit your bloodstream faster but it's still the same amount since the non sugar part will convert to sugar.
