I've not been through here in a while.
Something strange (or indeed perfectly explainable) has happened with my BG.
At the time of diagnosis about 1.5 years ago I used to get readings between 4-7mmol all the time. Indeed, my first HbA1C was 5.7. After Xmas, 6.4 and later a 6.2. I'm not on any medication, as it was determined that I appeared to be Prediabetic. Nights out on the town, I would usually wake up to a 4.7 or there around.
This last week, I smelled glucose on my urine in the morning. A test revealed a 9.9mmol, which shocked me. So I followed reasonably low carb all week, but I have not been able to get my BG below 6. Indeed, this morning, I woke up to a 7.1. I ate a pickled egg and a handful of dry roasted nuts. Followed this with a Cinnamon/Fenugreek drink and a green tea. An hour later and BG is up to 8.2.
Increased urination and dry mouth all week.
Is something very wrong here, or has Prediabetes moved on into Diabetes territory?
Any advice would be most welcome.
