what's normal?

Hi all,

I had my fasting glucose test this morning and get my results tomorrow. Just wondering what is normal? Apparently i am boderline!!

The nurse said to me today that she doesnt understand why i am getting the fasting glucose, n that i should be getting the glucose tolerence test which would tell us either way!!

6 and below is good and what a non diabetic should have.
7 and above is bad and chance of having diabetes.

cross your fingers and hope she or he says 4.0
 
Your Nurse is right" the Glucose Tolerance test is the only proper way of diagnosing diabetes, although they seem to miss it out nowadays.
